Online business tax returns mandatory

HMRC is pressing ahead with a move to compulsory online filing of tax returns. Effective from April 2011, this will cover Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT and apply to businesses of all sizes. The release of draft regulations for consultation has provoked numerous objections. But there is no indication that HMRC is planning to relax the proposed deadline.
