Ted Brew

Ted has over 30 years' experience as a tax specialist.  He works closely with individual and corporate clients on a host of issues, with a particular emphasis on international tax and corporate reorganisations. 

Recent projects include:

• restructuring a US-based group to facilitate acquisitions in the UK, Germany and other European countries
• an international reorganisation for a large private, formerly listed group
• the demerger of a manufacturing and sales group to facilitate a merger and reverse takeover of a UK listed group
• creating an international structure to maximise returns to an Australian-based franchise operation.

Ted has extensive experience of advising on mergers and acquisitions including negotiating and closing deals, and advising on tax implications and methods for structuring deals to maximise after-tax returns; employee benefit schemes, in particular PAYE and withholding tax issues.

Ted is an active member of IGAF Polaris, the firm's worldwide association of accounting firms.  Ted has worked on discussion documents for HMRC and has contributed suggestions to the ICAEW on reforms, changes and modifications to government regulations and legislation.
