Chris Riley

Chris specialises in corporation tax compliance and planning issues for companies ranging from small family-run businesses to large international groups.  In addition to day-to-day compliance works, he also advises on matters such as group structures, forecasting of tax liabilities, capital allowances and utilisation of tax losses.

Chris manages the UK corporate tax compliance function for many of Littlejohn's larger clients including the UK operations of a worldwide electrical products distributor and a number of property investors and developers.  He also advises clients in the insurance sector, in particular the Lloyd's interests of worldwide insurers.

Chris has advised on the purchase and sale of businesses including preparing tax due diligence reports, liaising with client advisers regarding the content of tax warranties and indemnities, and advising on the structure of company purchases and the personal tax consequences of disposal.
