Its principal subsidiary is Synoptics, which designs and manufactures special purpose instruments for use in the life sciences, supplying customers in the academic and research sectors.

Littlejohn acted as advisers to Broca plc under Rule 3 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers on its acquisition by 2ergo Group plc. This involved giving independent advice to the directors of Broca plc on the acquisition, which was effected by means of a scheme of arrangement in April 2009.
Broca plc's business is the development and exploitation of technology with the intention of enabling m-commerce to be carried out securely via digital services. 2ergo Group plc is a leading provider of integrated and converged mobile products and services.
