Azhar qualified as a chartered accountant in 1986. He then went to work with a Big 4 firm where he was involved in the audit of major international companies.

Azhar then started his own practice, specialising in growing owner-managed businesses. He acted for a broad range of clients, continuing his interest in property investment and development companies as well as many businesses in the services sector and a number of professional service firms. He also advised exhibition companies of their foreign VAT obligations when holding overseas exhibitions, as well as recovering foreign VAT for businesses throughout Europe.

Azhar also holds an MBA, with a specialism in marketing. He become a partner at Littlejohn in June 2006 and now works in the firm’s business advisory services division.
